'does anyone not always take everything off a mutant?' I play modded Anomaly, I assume when skinning my knife degrades based on how many parts I take so I usually don't skin tuskanos and don't take rubles off zombies. I've also seen videos where people took only certain parts of mutants

I doubt it'll give many people much hope, but for me at least it seemed like the last three years and the last few delays have been totally fair and understandable for development. This is, I think, the longest gap we've had in development with the same release date. The newest trailer seems like it's doubling down on the Sept. 5th release date.

Announcements after announcements and short pre-rendered trailers every half a year. GSC's boss "Sergiy Grygorovych" seems like a "Dean Hall type of person". Selfish, arrogant, ignorant and incompetent. That's why the most competent GSC Game World staff left the company and started to develop the Metro game series a long time ago. The less competent staff stayed and made two (actually not so bad) sequels. This was almost 15 years ago (after Call of Pripyat). Then those people left the company and a new generation of people who don't have a clue of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games joined the company. They are the least experienced, competent and motivated developers in GSC's history. Largely driven by Microsoft's money. Even if Microsoft manages to push them to deliver on September 5th as THQ did with the first game (or it would never release) it doesn't necessarily mean that the game will be good. Look at Starfield or whatever hyped up game with Microsoft or any other large company behind over the last decade. Maybe we should let our nostalgic feelings for the first three titles go for a moment and look at things objectively. Reminder: Never pre-order! Use Microsoft's Game Pass to try the game.

Could be either way it will release on the 5th. I just can't tell with GSC anymore. What pisses me off are the constant dates they keep throwing out. Most game devs only give a date when they are %100 sure they can make it, and that it's at least a couple of months away. They won't do that though, and I know why. It's to entice pre-orders, and they have been pulling this scam for many years. I don't know any other game where pre-orders were available for this long.

How strange there are no women in the zone

I am excited and upset that Stalker 2 is releasing soon I love the games and the world of Stalker so much but seeing how much GSC is pushing Stalker 2 gives me no hope of being able to play it soon enough. I have a potato for a PC, and I want to experience the game/story on my own. And God knows, GOD KNOWS, I'm gonna be spoiled... My last piece of hope is to disconnect myself from everything Stalker related after the game releases till I upgrade my hardware to play and unless the game is optimized enough or there are methods to boost your performance I am without a doubt... Fucked.

Another delay will have me at the back of a death truck, driven by Sidorovich's skeleton, through a sketchy, usually never before crossed route, with the road ending into a black hole. A spatial anomaly on its own, it'll incarcerate me back in the Cage of Time. For all its worth, I don't wanna my world to fall in darkness again, nor I want to feel like I have succumbed to the silence, as if I was trapped in coma, and through my dreams, I'd come to realize STALKER 2 is off by another year. DON'T DO IT TO ME!

Well to be fair, there are quite a few members of GSC Gameworld that are fighting a war against a major world power. So i understand why it is a little slow in development.

If it doesn't we put a team together and go to GSC HQ and release the game ourselves - finished or not.

When the "surreal" zone makes more sense than the "real" world,then yes...the zone is the paradise we deserve!And i also see why they compare Metro Exodus to STALKER.Because it's closer gameplay-wise to STALKER.Not too close,but closer than the previous Metro games.

we have waited for so long for the sequel but its worth the wait I guess. now that I think about it I've been subscribed to your youtube channel since 2013 because your STALKER contents hooked me up and play the game myself and wow time flies!

hahaha, that end... so unexpected. Well hopefully we get to finally see what it's all about. Will it live up to our expectations and desires? Probably not but in true Stalker fashion, any Stalker is better than none so I'll take it for what it is.
